5 Essential Wellness Gifts to Give at Christmas

Not long now till Santa pops down the chimney and leaves some gifts under the Christmas tree. Hopefully he’s found something nice for everyone especially those loved ones who like receiving body, mind and soul gifts to match their interest in all things health and wellness.

Being a mum of a 5 month old it’s a challenge to get to the shops between feed and sleep times. I’m also a bit too tired to deal with the hoards of people at the shops so this year I’m online shopping. I’ve done a bit of a scour of Amazon to see what wellness gifts they have and this is my top 5 list.

  1. Dream Time Inner Peace Eye Pillow I’m a big fan of naps and thus a big fan of eye pillows. Napping is so much easier when you’re exposed to less light. Often shutting the curtains just doesn’t do it for me. An eye pillow feels as though it really tunes down my sense of sight helping me to tune out. I’m also a big fan of the relaxing smell of lavender so having natural herbs within the pillow is a big plus. Eye pillows are great for headache, migraine or sinus sufferers as there are plenty of acupressure points around the eyes and forehead to help with these conditions. You just want to make sure the filling of the pillow is weighty enough to put pressure on these points (which this one is). If you’re wanting to add something additional to the eye pillow why not also get some essential oils. Something like this Tranquility blend could be a nice add-on.

  2. Lonely Planet Wellness Escapes Who doesn’t dream of being able to travel to gorgeous places that nourish the soul? At the moment I do a lot of day dreaming about places I’d go. Being a mum is a lot tougher than I’d expected and has made me appreciate the independence I had previously. Going to wellness retreats was something I had wanted to do but just never got round to so until I’m free to go on my own once again this gem of a book will have to be my inspiration. A great gift for someone interested in wellness travel.

  3. Go green (literally) with a Wellness Stainless Steel Travel Tumbler. This beverage holder is double walled so prevents condensation on the outside and is vacuum sealed so keeps things hot or cold for long periods of time. Because it’s stainless steel it is non-toxic and BPA free thus giving it that wellness factor. This is an obvious gift for a coffee or smoothie lover or that friend/family member who loves being in the great outdoors.

  4. I love my essential oils and I love diffusing them around the house even more. So this portable essential oil diffuser is genius! With its nifty little charger you can move it around the house, take it in the car, take it on holidays or anywhere that you might want some soothing, relaxing or uplifting smells.

  5. Something a little different but wonderful for that loved one who absolutely loves the skin they’re in. Jade rollers have been used in traditional chinese medicine for thousands of years as part of beauty treatments. They brighten the skin as they improve blood circulation around the face. They also reduce puffiness by improving lymphatic drainage and they help your skin absorb the nutrients from masks and moisturisers. A wonderful addition to any beauty routine to rejuvenate the face and aid anti-aging.

There you have it. That’s my top 5 wellness gifts this Christmas. Purchasing any or all of these gifts will definitely bring nourishment to body, mind and soul for someone in your life. Merry Christmas!
